Heletranz Helicopters with Barrack Obama

Barrack Obama flies with Heletranz for his visit to New Zealand.

Heletranz is extremely proud and honoured to have been chosen as the official helicopter company given the job of looking after former US President Barrack Obama on his visit to New Zealand. For the pilots involved, this was definitely a career highlight that will be hard to beat!

Heletranz flew Obama and his team in the Agusta Westland 109s Grand, one of the most elite helicopters in New Zealand.

Heletranz Helicopters Films The Volvo Ocean Race Stopover in Auckland.

Heletranz helicopters, in conjunction with Tony Monk Films, was the official film provider for the Volvo Ocean Race stopover in Auckland. Excellent, live coverage came straight from Heletranz’ Eurocopter Squirrel rigged with the latest camera gear. Tony Monk was the pilot and Richard Mason commentated the race. Our Eurocopter EC130 and Agusta Westland 109 Grand were also out following the excitement on the water that day. Clients were taking in all the action from above, celebrating with champagne before flying over to Waiheke Island and The Bay of Islands.
