Taupo Golf Getaway Special with Huka Lodge
Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary is set on 388 acres of natural rolling countryside close to Lake Taupo and the beautiful Tongariro mountains. Kinloch showcases a design philosophy that aims to enhance the natural environment – allowing the surroundings of the stunning Taupo region to shape each hole. It would be easy to become preoccupied with stunning views and clean green setting. but the golf course alone is why so many are making the trip to just north of Taupo.
Huka Lodge is world famous and is nestled in 17 acres of parkland on the banks of the Waikato River, 300 metres upstream from the famous Huka Falls. The Lodge is said to occupy the most beautiful position of any lodge in the world – we are sure you will agree. The garden at Huka Lodge is ranked as a ‘Garden of National Significance’ and deemed to be of regional importance by the New Zealand Gardens Trust.
Day 1, Depart Heletranz Heliport, Albany, Auckland in the morning on a scenic helicopter flight to land at Wairakei Golf + sanctuary, near Taupo. (Flight time approximately 1 hour 15 minutes one way). Green fees and cart hire (2 share, cart hire weather dependent) included. Your helicopter and pilot will wait 5 hours while you enjoy a game on one of New Zealand’s most celebrated golf courses before going on to land at the Huka Lodge, Taupo, where guests enjoy one night’s accommodation (twin share) in two beautiful Junior Lodge suites. Included in the stay: Pre-dinner drinks and canapes from 7pm to 8pm. A five course set menu fine-dining experience (menu changes daily).
Day 2, After a full country-style breakfast depart the Huka Lodge to land at The Kinloch Club. Green fees and cart hire (2 share, cart hire weather dependent) included. Your helicopter and pilot will wait 5 hours while you enjoy a game of golf, before returning you back to the Heletranz Albany heliport. Note: Lunches or dinner not included.
