Escape to a luxurious island retreat on one of New Zealand’s less travelled islands – Great Barrier Island. The cuisine is divine, wine outstanding and service wonderful – your every need anticipated.
The luxury Lodge is a unique building of straw-bale construction and has been created in harmony with the earth’s scarce resources. The thickness and subtle curves of the adobe-finished walls have a timeless character and beauty creating an overall feeling of comfort.
Depart Heletranz Heliport and enjoy a spectacular scenic helicopter out over the islands of the Hauraki Gulf and beyond to where sparkling green water turns to deep blue. Dolphins and whales are often companions on the 50 nautical mile flight to Great Barrier. Flight duration approx. 30 minutes.
On arrival you will be met by your Hosts, Trevor and Carol Rendle.
Complimentary bottle of Champagne Bollinger to enjoy at your leisure.
Pre-dinner cocktails followed by a superb four course fine dining evening meal.
One night’s accommodation in an Ocean View Suite featuring private courtyard, large bedroom with en-suite and separated from main lodge by a cobblestone path. Enjoy complimentary fresh flowers from the Earthsong garden, fresh fruit, Earthsong cookies, coffee, a range of teas, and a fine Tawny Port from Portugal in your suite.
The next day, after an a la carte breakfast, re-board your helicopter for the return flight to the Heletranz Heliport.
