DAY TOUR, CENTRAL NORTH ISLAND (TOUR ONE)     Itinerary 8.00am Courtesy vehicle pick up from downtown Auckland. 8.30am Depart Heletranz Heliport and fly across to Coromandel with a birds eye view of Auckland’s many Gulf Islands en-route. Fly down the Coromandel Peninsula to Tauranga, over white sandy beaches, green, natural landscape then in land to the shores of Lake Rotoiti, at Okawa Bay Lodge, for a New Zealand style morning tea. 10.30am We leave Okawa Bay Lodge, flying over Lake Tarawera, Waterfalls, sometimes viewing Rainbow Trout swimming in the rivers below, as we head to Rainbow Springs Farm Park and Trout Pools. Here you can wander around the peaceful surroundings to view and feed the different varieties of Trout found in New Zealand, then take in the famous farm show and actively take part. 'Milk a cow - feed a lamb - shear a sheep - churn cream into butter’. 12.00pm A coach will now transfer you to Whakarewarewa where you can learn from and enjoy aspects of Maori culture and the thermal geology of the area. View bubbling mud pools and spouting Geysers, watch how the Maori cooked their food and made bags of flax along with many other points of interest. 1.30pm Return by coach to your helicopter and depart over- flying Rotorua, the Lakes and the Huka Falls to land at Huka Lodge for lunch. 3.00pm Following lunch aboard a Jet Boat up the Huka river then, depending on time fly across to Waitomo to view the World famous Glow Worm Caves.
