Departing from Heletranz heliport, Albany at approximately 9.00 am we
take a scenic flight up the East Coast in a Heletranz helicopter landing at Gulf Harbour.

Cruise to Tiritiri Matangi Island (25 minutes)
Row ashore to be met by Greg, the friendly Takahe (these lovely birds were nearly extinct until the Department of Conservation began it’s protection program)
Put on your walking shoes and begin a truly remarkable exploration of this unique island meeting it’s inhabitants en-route. Guided tours can be arranged

Wattle Valley is home to the Bell Bird and many other species – Find a spot, sit quiet and watch them come to feed and bath only metres from where you sit.
Wander on to the Lighthouse where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Gulf and back to Auckland city.
Purchase a hand-painted souvenir T/shirt form the island information centre.
Back to the beach for your return to M.V Angie where you can sit, relax and enjoy fruit drinks and a gourmet platter lunch.

Return to the Marina where you are met by helicopter and flown to the heliport

(trip duration approx 5 hours).
